Just to make sure I've got this right... none of those are of the UP, right?
Nope. The first is of a vineyard near Lake Leelanau, the second is on Sugarloaf Mountain and the third is of North and South Manitou Island. All in the same corner of the Lower Penninsula.
Ahhh . . . the many joys and benefits of reading EJ Takes Life . . . a lesson in geography (had to Google "Manitou Island," "Lower Peninsula," "Sugarloaf Mountain") and a reminder of the beauty of our entire and vast country (although have never used the phrase "fly-over country," this born and bred east-coast writer is sometimes guilty of a bit of "east coast centrism").
